As a proposer, you won’t be able to see participants’ suggestions or reactions until everyone has finished their turn, or time has run out and the proposal auto-advances to the next round. This allows participants to contribute to the proposal without any well-intentioned meddling from the proposer.
In Murmur, the responsibility for improving proposals in distributed throughout the team. Allowing participants to make suggestions in an unbiased environment helps them do their part to make the proposal safe-to-try.
As a proposer, you have the freedom to incorporate any suggestions you believe will make the proposal better, but it’s important that you see all suggestions at the same time. This allows proposers to get a more accurate, holistic sense of which elements of the proposal may need changes, and how many participants may share the desire for specific changes to be implemented.
