There are three participant role types for a Murmur proposal, each with its own set of permissions. Role types determine how each participant contributes to the proposal, and are selected by the proposer before starting the decision-making process.

Here are the role types:

• Deciders have full participation rights. They can ask questions, make suggestions, and consent or object to the proposal.
• Advisors have partial participation rights. They can ask questions and make suggestions, but they won’t be asked to consent or object to the proposal.
• Observers don’t have participation rights. They can view the proposal, but they can’t ask questions, make suggestions, or consent or object. However, Observers can view questions and suggestions from others.

Note: If the proposer is the only Decider on a proposal, they can publish the decision without requiring consent from others. This typically happens when a proposer has full decision rights over a decision and has only requested advice.
