When you propose an agreement, you can invite specific people or groups to participate (or a combination of groups and individuals), even if they aren’t existing workspace members.

Here’s how to do it:

Add existing member and groups directly

After clicking “Propose” on your draft, select the individuals and/or groups you want to participate from the “Invite Participants” dropdown. All existing members and groups should be displayed automatically, but you can also type to search for faster results.

Create an invite link

To invite participants who aren’t currently members of your workspace, you can send them an invite link that will allow them to participate in the proposal and automatically join the workspace at the same time (bonus!).

After clicking “Propose” on your draft, click the checkbox “Allow anyone with an invite link to join the proposal”, then click “Propose and Create Link”. In the pop-up, copy the invite link and share it with participants.

Something to think about... 💭

Choose as many groups or individuals as you see fit. For example, if an agreement is intended to govern two separate groups — say, Product and Engineering — you can add both groups as participants. All members of the Product group and the Engineering group will be invited to participate in the proposal.

Or, if an agreement is intended to govern one group, plus another workspace member who isn’t part of that group, simply add them both to the participant list and propose away.

When you’re done adding participants, you can add an optional note, then propose the draft and send it through the Murmur Method!
