If you find inspiration while browsing other team’s public agreements, you can adapt their great ideas for your organization by copying the agreement and customizing to fit the uniqueness of your team and culture. To do so:

  1. Go to Explore, click on the public agreement you want to use, then click “Duplicate Agreement”.
  2. The agreement will be copied into a draft, where you can make any adjustments you feel may better suit your team.
  3. Whenever you’re ready, click “Propose”, then invite people to participate so the proposal can take flight via the Murmur Method.

✏️ Note: If you’re a member of multiple workspaces, this process looks slightly different when you use a public agreement from another workspace you belong to.

For example, if you’re a member of both the Dogs workspace and the Cats workspace in Murmur, you may want to take one of Dogs’ public agreements and propose it to your friends over in Cats.

However, because you’re a member of both workspaces, you won’t have the option to duplicate the agreement in Cats. Instead, you’ll want to:

  1. Find the public agreement in Explore.
  2. Highlight and copy the text you want to use from the public agreement.
  3. Click “New Agreement”.
  4. Paste the text from the public agreement into your new draft, then make any adjustments so the draft best suits your team.
  5. Whenever you’re ready, click “Propose”, then invite people to participate so it can take flight through the Murmur Method!
